Estée Lauder sure knows how to make a girl feel valued.

Where do I start??

I was welcomed by Melinda, my consultant. Needless to say I’m a chatterbox and had a so much fun learning more about Estée Lauder.

Because The Estée Lauder Company understands that every face is unique. They have created The Signature Services for you, their most valued customer. It is tailor-made to meet your individual skin care needs

Melinda asked a series of question to find the perfect combination of products for my skin. With each product she explained why I needed it and how to use it. This is my skin regimen.

1. Perfectly Clean Splash Away Foaming Cleanser

I’m a typical Normal/Combination skin. I have an oily T-zone, but my cheeks tend to be a bit dry. This cleanser leaves my skin balanced and well hydrated.

2. Perfectly Clean Fresh Balancing Lotion

It gently removes dead cells without that uncomfortable dry feeling.

3. Advance Night Repair

This is my favourite.  I’m in love. The serum feels like a gentle sheet of moisture and allows the skin to breathe.

4. Time Zone

This product has eased my trouble mind about two things: wrinkles & sun protection. It’s a line and wrinkle reducing Crème with SPF15. I’m young and want to get as much mileage as possible from my looks. So I believe prevention is the key to combat pre-mature ageing.

I was introduced to the iMatch System. This is Estée Lauder’s approach to find the perfect shade of foundation and achieve the flawless look. This is used to analyse Intensity (numbers) and Undertone (alphabets), by placing the different colour sleeves onto your skin.

Estée Lauder’s promise to you:

To make you feel beautiful in minutes. Just go to your nearest Estée Lauder counter and their consultants will analyse your skin, offer you products that will complement your individual skin needs.

The company has stayed true to Estée Lauder’s vision of showing woman how to be beautiful and how to stay beautiful.

My skin is GLOWING and I’m happy! Whoopeeee!

Go and experience the world of beauty with Estée Lauder.

Estée Lauder, once again, has proven that they are the pioneers in beauty technology. This week at the New York Fashion Week they partnered with Derek Lam to show case their new products

Sumptuous Two Tone Eye-Opening Mascara.

Like no other, straight from the runway, this mascara is bold black and rich brown.

Top Lashes: Big BrushComber™ adds bold black volume to upper lashes.

Bottom Lashes: Smaller MicroBrush™ adds eye-brightening, smudge-free colour to lower lashes.

Invisible Fluid Makeup

The fluid creates a soft veil to enhance your skin. It gives a light, clear & matte satin base. “The new formulation is said to feature ultra-fine pigments and multi-reflective prisms to create a natural, light-reflecting tint with moisture.”

I’m not sure when they’ll be available in South Africa but if they are anything like the Advanced Night Repair…I have a problem!  I foresee a personal addiction to both.

It’s never too late to start taking care of your skin.  I have 5 basic changes that you can implement to get beautiful skin.

Water flushes out toxins and carries nutrients to your cells. A general daily recommendation of 2 litres a day is the benchmark. Try it! Keeps you skin GREAT!

Like Michael Jackson would say: “It Don’t Matter If You’re Black Or White”. Sun rays damage your skin.  Do not undermine the number of times you are exposed to the sun daily. Sunscreen should be as basic as oxygen.

Lack of sleep is generally linked to weight gain and memory and concentration loss. About 7-9 hours of sleep is important because whilst you sleep your body is repairs & recuperates. You wake-up refreshed and alert.

You can’t deny the power of food and consequences of bad food. START taking note of what causes breakouts for you. Dairy usually is the biggest trigger for break outs. Avoid food that leaves you feeling sluggish.

There is nothing more gorgeous and sexy than a woman who is comfortable in her own skin. You are unique masterpiece. Self-love equals radiance. “Those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.” ― Bernard Baruch

I’m feeling very nostalgic today.  Being chosen as an Estée Lauder Beauty Glamour Girl Finalist is so surreal. I wanted to let into my world. Why Estée Lauder ? Is it luck?

Well I received my first  Estée Lauder product from my mom back in 2005. She bought me The Estée Lauder  Pleasures.

And I have been hooked ever since. You don’t believe me? Take a look at the 3 generations of  Powder Makeup in my Cosmetics Box

Don’t side eye me…you know that you keep your priced possession for long, to passed down your children as a family heirloom. Ha ha ha ha! Don’t WORRY they are empty.

On a serious tip. I want talk to you guys about Vision Boards. Last year I made mine this is how it looks

I’m simply saying if YOU have a dream. Wake-up and do something about it. I know I did. Luck is simply preparation meeting opportunity.  What’s your dream? Write it down and create your own Vision Board. And WORK HARD towards it.

Call me an ostrich but I love all things sparkly. If I had it my way I would declare the planetarium my residential home…But I’d make it as über stylish like Naomi Campbell’s house

Being from Mpumalanga I LOVE STARGAZING. It’s so magical! This is me as I took a Sho’t Left to Sabie

I went to God’s window but the curtain was closed

I have found a new appreciation for Summer holidays. The thing is I give so much of myself during the year without a break. I didn’t realise how tired I was until two days into the holiday. Needless to say I came back well rested & ready for the year ahead. You have one life, don’t work yourself to the bone, value yourself enough to take a break.

This week has been hectic and these songs got me through the week….

10. Robin Thicke – Sweetest Love

He is the only good thing that came out of Kim Kardashian’s 72 day marriage. I would also get him to serenade my guests if I had the bucks.

9. Nicki Minaj feat David Guetta – Turn Me On

Two words: Midas touch! This man is the Timbaland of Dance Music. EVERYTHING he touches turns into a golden hit. He even revived old Usher, heck now I wish I had tickets to his show in SA

8. Maroon 5 – Moves Like Jagger

Okay I have no idea what they were smoking but has ANYONE seen Mick Jagger’s moves…..*crickets*… point exactly!!

7. Chris Brown- Beautiful People

Say what you want, this song is Chris Brown’s redemption song. I think he has redeemed himself. The words are repetitively sweet.

6. Maxwell-lifetime

Yes I just gave away my age, this is an oldie but its beauty resonates in my soul with every note he sings.

5. David Guetta feat Usher- Without You

Heck, I didn’t get the chance to see him in action last year, but it’s okay I don’t need a concert to enjoy this man’s music. Traffic or gym I move to the beat.

4. Jay-z & Alicia Keys- Empire State Of The Mind

I love New York. Oh, New York Fashion week is starts on the 9th.  Did I mention I love New York?

3. Katy Perry- Firework

Now this is my get-up and go-get-‘em song, with this song I can go to Boot Camp with stiff muscles and feel on top of the world. Whoop! Whoop!

2. Kabelo – Amapanstula Ajabulile

Whenever I hear this track all I want to do is dance, dance, dance, dance. Local is definitely lekker!!!

1. Adele – Set Fire To The Rain

After having her surgery we are all anxious to hear her performance at the Grammy’s, but I ain’t worried she’s got this.
